Pennsylvania State Monument

Image 1: Pennsylvania State Monument. This large monument, dedicated to the troops of Pennsylvania that fought on the battlefield, is located on Cemetery Ridge, about half way between the town of Gettysburg and Little Round Top. The bronze plaques around the base of the monument contain the names of all the Pennsylvanians who fought in the battle. Statues of important Pennsylvanians, including Major General George G. Meade, stand on either side of the dome's arches.

These photographs were taken with a Nikon F-601 autofocus SLR, using a Nikkor 24mm - 50mm f2.8 wide angle zoom lens or with a Sigma 150mm - 300mm telephoto zoom lens. The image was captured on Kodak Royal Gold.
